Where we're going on Star of the Seas… we don't need roads.
In a scene straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster, a DeLorean — the iconic car made famous by the Back to the Future films — has been carefully loaded onto the Star of the Seas, Royal Caribbean's brand-new mega cruise ship, as it begins its maiden voyage across the Atlantic.
Our DeLorean, part of a spectacular onboard special effects installation, will be featured in one of the ship's upcoming entertainment experiences. Its arrival on the Star of the Seas marks a thrilling fusion of pop culture nostalgia, cutting-edge and magical cruise ship innovation.
Launched in 2025, the Star of the Seas is the latest addition to Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class fleet. Measuring over 1,200 feet long and weighing more than 250,000 gross tons, it can carry nearly 8,000 guests and crew. With a floating city’s worth of restaurants, attractions, and performance spaces, the ship redefines luxury and spectacle on the open sea.
Some of our team are currently en route and in rehersals, crossing the Atlantic, the Star of the Seas is expected to arrive in the United States in the coming weeks — with a time-traveling twist waiting onboard...
